Before Cancer Treatment

We stretch and strengthen the body in areas that may be affected by a future surgical procedure, chemotherapy, or radiation. As a result,  the patient is less likely to have injury pain if he/she receives PT before any surgical procedure.

During Cancer Treatment

Breast cancer involves a variety of procedures & treatments that affect multiple body systems. We use manual therapy to help the entire body before, during, & after cancer treatment. A combination of prehab & rehab result in the greatest success!

After Cancer Treatment

Gives the patient the ability to regain flexibility & strength; improve circulation; improve fluid dynamics in the lymphatic system; reduce stress; reduce scar tissue buildup; and more. We assess the entire body and use manual techniques to aid in recovery.

News & Testimonials

I came into PT following a single mastectomy not realizing how many muscles in my shoulder & back had been affected…I am pleased with the flexibility and rotation in my shoulder & whole upper body.

Shari H.

I leave PT with more confidence in my body and its ability to heal.

Karen C.

After a very frightening experience confronting breast cancer, I came to PROactive to recover from the treatments. Coming here has been positive from every aspect.

For you to reach your total body ability, we utilize the following manual physical therapy techniques:

Craniosacral Manipulation

Calms the nervous system’s fight-or-flight response & increases immunity & system fluid dynamics.

Joint Mobilization

Releases restrictions and attains a normal range of pain-free joint.

Gua Sha

Breaks down scar tissue & increases circulation.

Soft Tissue Mobilization

Breaks up inelastic adhesions such as scars, moves tissue fluids, and relaxes muscle tension.

Lymphatic Drainage

Massage and mobilization encourage the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues and back towards the heart.

Visceral Release

Moves and releases fascial restrictions in the abdomen; encourages the normal mobility, tone, and motion of the viscera and their connective tissues; and improves lymphatic drainage.

Myofascial Release

Gentle sustained pressure into the myofascial connective tissue restrictions helps elongate the tissues, eliminate pain, and restore motion.

Cupping Therapy

Increases circulation, improves healing, and improves fascia mobility.
